Effective October 19, 2026. This policy explains how Roller Rink Review handles information through this website. Contact us using our contact form with privacy questions or requests.

Information we collect

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a password stored as a password hash. We assign an account and membership tier. When you contact us, we collect the details you submit. When eligible members submit rink scores, we store their ratings and associated account information. We also receive payment and subscription status information from Square to administer paid memberships.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide digital member cards and membership features, process support requests, administer subscriptions, prevent misuse, and operate the rink directory and community scores. We may use operational logs and essential session cookies to run and protect the site.

Marketing emails

Marketing email signup is optional and separate from creating a free account. We send promotional emails only when you opt in. You can request to unsubscribe using our contact form; any marketing emails should also provide an unsubscribe method. Essential account and billing notices may still be sent.

Payments and service providers

Paid checkout is handled by Square. We do not ask you to enter payment card numbers into our website. Square handles payment information according to its own privacy practices. Website hosting and other service providers may process information needed to operate the service. We do not sell our membership email list.

Public contributions

Rink ratings and other community contributions may be displayed publicly with a member label or attribution where the feature provides it. Do not submit private information in public content.

Retention and your choices

We retain account, membership, and transaction records as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. You can request access, correction, account deletion, or marketing opt-out through our contact form. Some transaction records may need to be retained for legal or accounting reasons.

Children and changes

This website is not intended for children under 13 to create accounts independently. We may update this policy as features change and will post the revised effective date here.
